Currently operating in over 40 states, ERC has negotiated with over 1,100 utility companies and purchased millions of dollars in deregulated electric and natural gas commodities on behalf of its clients. In addition to Energy Procurement, here are some of the other services we can provide:

• Energy Audits and Evaluations
The Eric Ryan Corporation will perform on-site energy surveys and offer detailed reports of energy inefficiencies and options available to reduce costs through either capital improvements or operational changes.  ERC will assist clients in implementing any savings opportunities found during the site visit.  ERC can offer financing options for those recomendations that require capital expenditure.

• ESCO Analysis and Verification
The Eric Ryan Corporation can assist clients involved in large, multi-million dollar energy projects.  Our staff of engineers will review any proposals that large ESCO's (Energy Service Company) provide to a client.  During the ESCO review process, our engineers will provide an independent, unbiased and detailed analysis and recommendation, helping to ensure that the client is making the most educated decision possible.  After the ESCO has been selected and the project is complete, ERC also has software in place allowing us to verify changes in energy usage and savings resulting from the project

• Power Factor Corrections
Our certified engineers perform evaluations to determine if power factor problems exist and offer cost effective proposals to correct those issues. Equipment performance issues can sometimes have an effect on how your company is billed by the electric companies.

• Tax Audit/Analysis and Recovery
The Eric Ryan Corporation will review state tax laws to determine if the facility would qualify for tax exemptions.  If so, ERC will perform a site survey, establish the percentage of exemption, and petition the state for refunds for past taxes paid in error.  ERC will also work with the utility company to ensure the correct exemption is on future bills.

•  Rebate/Incentive Research and Implementation
The Eric Ryan Corporation will research local, state and federal programs offering rebates, incentives, grants, etc., for installation of energy efficient equipment or renewable energy sources.  ERC will assist clients in meeting criteria for said rebates, incentives, etc., and then assist in the application process and securing of rebates.

•  Renewable Energy/Green Initiative Research
The Eric Ryan Corporation will research renewable energy and advise clients on alternatives and any benefits (rebates and/or incentives) from using renewable energy.  ERC will also advise clients on procurement of renewable energy credits (RECs) and steps to getting facilities certified as "green."

Case Studies:

Grant Application – The Energy Services Division of Eric Ryan Corporation managed a grant application process for a local city government, whereby the municipality was awarded nearly $150,000 for energy efficiency upgrades at several facilitites. This particular grant offered by the Federal Government was designed for cities and municipalities. ERC brought it to the city's attention, gained approval to proceed and applied for the city. Application was successful, and ERC is currently assisting the city in implementing approved measures. The grant money will enable the city to install energy efficient lighting that will save nearly $50,000.00 annually in energy costs.

Energy Efficient Savings – A hotel chain of 75 locations was able to save over $15,000 per month by implementing cost saving measures with the output of water in the guest bathrooms and sinks. The program cost created a payback in less than two months. The savings opportunity was identified during a site visit at one of the properties by ERC engineers. The program was tested for one month with water reduction noted and savings verified. After all issues were addressed to management's satisfaction, the program was rolled out to all other qualifying properties in the chain. All properties are realizing at least $150.00/month in savings.
